Fish Leong's concert clips

I just found some YouTube clips of Fish Leong's concert in Malaysia which I recently attended. The quality of these clips is really good, so I had to include them in my blog.

The guy who took these must be from the media as the recorded angle in the first clip seemed to be from where the members of the media were seated. Helped too that he had such a "canggih" camera.

Anyhow, looking at these clips reminded me on how much I have enjoyed that concert! Oh and today a friend who went to the same concert told me that Fish Leong is getting married soon.

Getting intimate with Fish Leong

I went for Fish Leong's concert last night.


I have only one word to describe it.... MAGNIFICENT!

Yeah... the whole concert was magnificent, she was magnificent. Her voice was so clear and she was in tune at all times! I think my admiration for her has increased ten-fold after the concert. By the way, this was my 1st Fish Leong's concert. The last time she held a concert in Malaysia was 4 years ago and I missed that one.

She sang all the songs (about 30 of them) flawlessly and almost the whole stadium was singing in unison with her. It was indeed a great feeling.

I am not very sure how other concerts were as this was just the 2nd concert that I had ever attended. However I do understand after last night that there's a vast difference between attending a live concert and watching a DVD of a live concert.

Fish was so down to earth when interacting with the audiences and her guest artistes. Her official guest artiste was Michael Guang Liang while her unofficial guest artistes who went up the stage during encore were Ah Niu, Z Chen, Phoebe (DJ from MyFM) and another guy whom I do not know.

Although she is mega successful (in my opinion) in the chinese community, she seemed so approachable and just "like one of us". I am going to be her fan for many more years to come.

The concert started around 8.15pm and ended only around 11.30pm. It was so well worth the money! One complaint that I have though. The song lyrics that were displayed on the screens were lacking the pinyin. I am sure Fish Leong has a lot of "banana" (Chinese who do not read chinese) fans like me, and the experience would have been much greater if we could also sing along to all of the songs.

I didn't bring my camera there and just used my PDA phone to snap a few pictures. That explains the quality of the pictures below. Anyhow, photography was not allowed and when they caught you snapping away, they would flash some bright lights on you. I noticed the guy sitting in front of me got flashed a lot, hehe.

My date with Fish

Yessss....my idol Fish Leong is having her concert here in KL and I MUST go and watch her.

I was so kiasu as upon hearing the news about this concert from the radio, I immediately (well almost) went to Galaxy's office the next afternoon to buy the tickets.


The concert will be held on the 13th June 09 at 8.00pm in the Bukit Jalil Indoor Stadium. Go to the organiser's website for more info.

I am sooooooo excited. This is going to be the 2nd concert that I have ever attended. The first was Sammi Cheng's concert many years ago. I got a free ticket for that and I remember Sammi Cheng appearing to me at the size of an ant.... because I was sitting so far away.

I made sure this will not be happening to my dearest Fish Leong. Oh dear, this is so exciting....

I am not sounding like a psycho fan, am I?

Mission Unaccomplished

I am currently in Singapore for my 5 days holiday. I was supposed to do this a month ago but my boss cancelled my leaves then.

I am planning of having a very relaxing time here. If I feel like it, I will go out. Else I will just rot indoors in front of the laptop or the TV. Anyhow, I did plan to do some Chinese New Year shopping although so far (my 2nd day here), I have yet to buy a single clothing.

I instead bought myself the new Fish Leong's album which is very very nice and came in 2 CDs. I would recommend this to anyone but then again, I am her fan and may not be very objective about it.

Today I went out to Orchard Road in the mission of buying myself some new clothes. Nah.. mission still left unaccomplished. Didn't feel the CNY mood la... somemore there isn't any elaborate CNY decorations in Orchard Road.

Anyway I did manage to catch a Lion Dance performance at Centrepoint Mall. That would be my first for the Year of the Ox. After watching that, I felt a tinge of CNY mood, but still not enough to fulfill my mission. Sigh...

I just discovered that Fish Leong has released her new album a month ago! See la what type of fan I am. Anyway, I must get my hands on that album soon.

This is a song from the new album. It's a duet with another Malaysian singer, Gary Cao and I believe "PK" here doesn't mean "Pokai"!

This is Fish Leong singing "Zhang Shen Xiang Qi" which through my banana translation means "When the applause start". This song was originally sung by Foong Fei Fei, but being a Fish Leong's fan, I of course love this version more.

Fish Leong - 崇拜 (J'Adore)

As I was browsing some music videos from YouTube, I found out that Fish Leong, my favourite local chinese singer has released her latest album titled "崇拜" (j'Adore) on the 9th Nov 07. I will definitely be getting that this weekend.

I went to Seri Kembangan's Jusco for lunch just now. Searched for Fish Leong's album in Jusco and Speedy Video but to no avail. Speedy Video's storekeeper told me that they have not receved any stocks yet. Came back and checked the web again.. and it is correct that the album is already released here. What is going on?

Went to Subang Parade to attend an ex-colleague's wedding dinner. As we reached there early, I went to scout around the CD shops to see whether they have Fish Leong's album. Alas found it in Speedy Video. Cost me RM48.90. Besides the CD, there are the lyrics booklet and a notebook with Fish Leong's pictures. Now that I am at home, I will put on the CD and let j'Adore seep into me...

Small Hand Holding Big Hand

I love this song. It never fails to lift me ... and I need it especially on a Monday morning! Fish Leong is the best!!!

The song is originated from a japanese cartoon. The title is "小手拉大手" which when direct translated becomes "Small hand holding big hand".
