Ada gambar yang lebih cantik?
Every workday morning, I would always go to this stall to pack my usual morning coffee. Without my morning coffee, I would have a problem staying human through the first half of the day.
So anyway like most of these stalls, mamak owned or not, they would always sell cigarettes. As most of you know, the packaging of the cigarettes now include all these pictures of the bad effect of smoking such as throat cancer, lung cancer, dead foetus, etc.
One day while I was waiting for the Indonesian lady to make my coffee, I overheard a lady patron ordering a pack of cigarettes. When the stall owner handed her one pack, she said "Aiya... ada gambar yang lebih cantik"? (translation: Is there a nicer picture?).
Then the stall owner said "Okay, okay... kasi you gambar baby". (translation: Okay, okay, I will give you the one with the baby picture). The baby picture that he meant was the dead foetus.
I was like... what?
